LCD Screen Marries Pen Technology: Wacom Cintiq

We have artists here at ImageZoo who swear by the Cintiq and say it completely changes illustration for the better, allowing for precise control and quicker execution of projects. The Wacom Cintiq is an interactive display combining an LCD screen with professional pen technology allowing you to draw directly on the screen.

Stephanie says it’s like a beautiful marriage between traditional drawing and technology. “In terms of doing sketches for clients it does save a lot of time,”she says. “I used to have to sketch the image by hand and then scan it in and email it. Now I just sketch it right on the screen and send it off. Once I get approval on the sketch I just up the resolution of the sketch, add another layer, and start creating the final art from there. I tried a Wacom tablet in the past but for some reason I couldn’t wrap my head around drawing on the tablet and having the image appear on the screen. It just seemed too disconnected. Now that I can draw directly on the screen, I get the best of both worlds.”

So there you have it, forget pen and paper, just get the Wacom Cintiq! It is a little pricey but you’ll be so happy you bought it because it truly is worth every penny.

Watch the video and you’ll see who amazing it is! If you have a Cintiq, let us know how you like it!
