Deck of Cards


I’ve always admired the designs of vintage playing cards that we have on, so was excited to come across a great web site called The World of Playing Cards. The web site gives a history of playing cards and also showcases some beautifully illustrated cards dating back centuries ago. I am very intrigued by the ornate details of the card designs.  The collection of card designs below are by W.H. Willis & Co. dated around the 1870s-80s.



Here are Ace of Spade designs by Charles Goodall, James English, and Willis and Co., respectively dated around the 1860s.
