The Beauty of Children’s Picturebooks

The Iwaki Museum of Picture Books for Children is an impressive library that caters to three nearby preschools in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture in Japan. The library was beautifully designed by renowned Japanese architect, Tadao Ando. All the book covers face forward making for a vibrant and cheerful environment. It would be a great place to take my preschooler and admire all the fabulous illustration!

If you want to know what it takes to create a successful picturebook, you might be interested in reading “Children’s Picturebooks” (shown below). Authors Martin Salisbury and Morag Styles feature leading illustrators and their work.
