Traveling Book Tour: The Sketchbook Project

The Sketchbook Project Mobile Library from Art House Co-op on Vimeo.

I blogged about The Sketchbook Project a while ago and it has come a long way since I first posted about it.  They now have over 30,000 sketchbooks archived at the Brooklyn Art Library from participants all over the globe. They also have a digital library with over 15,000 sketchbooks that you can view online. It is such a unique way to share not only your artwork, but your thoughts and ideas. Here at the office we are big fans of vintage ephemera so I love that you can preserve a piece of your own history. To participate, go to their site, sign up and they will send you a sketchbook and when you’ve completed it, it will not only be catalogued in the library, but it will be exhibited in museums across North America.
